IntelliVent-ASV
Intelligent ventilation mode that automatically adjusts settings based on patient physiology to achieve clinician-set targets.
Overview
INTELLiVENT-ASV is an advanced, closed-loop ventilation mode from Hamilton Medical. It evolves from Adaptive Support Ventilation (ASV) to continuously and automatically adjust respiratory rate, tidal volume, inspiratory time, PEEP, and oxygen based on real-time patient inputs like PetCO2 and SpO2. The clinician sets targets for oxygenation and CO2 elimination, and the system manages the controls to keep the patient within these ranges while applying lung-protective strategies and promoting automated weaning.
β¨ Key Features
- Automated closed-loop control of ventilation and oxygenation
- Manages both passive (sedated) and active (spontaneously breathing) patients
- Applies lung-protective strategies automatically
- Quick Wean feature for automated weaning protocols and Spontaneous Breathing Trials (SBTs)
- Visual decision support tools like the Dynamic Lung and Ventilation Cockpit
π― Key Differentiators
- Fully automated control of both ventilation and oxygenation based on SpO2 and PetCO2 targets
- Single mode for both passive and active patients, simplifying workflow
Unique Value: Reduces the need for frequent manual ventilator adjustments, allowing clinicians to focus on overall patient strategy while ensuring continuous, lung-protective ventilation.
π― Use Cases (3)
β Best For
- Post-cardiac surgery patient ventilation
- Use in general intensive care units
